Waxmouse Really impressive solo project. 'Descending' is dark back-room destroyer and the pace and vocal treatment on 'Diagnosis Error' another highlight Favorite track: Descending.

utopia cloak This is a beautifully produced warm and wide sounding record, It manages to feel big and in your face without being too overproduced and upfront. It sits comfortably on the fence between braindance and electro, without diving to much into one or the other. Most pleasing for me is the way the ice cold leads interact with the rough and ready bass frequencies. Clever stuff. FFO early AE, Drexciya, Aphex, Microlith. Hard recommend (nice pressing + vinyl package too!) Favorite track: Descending.

SCI-FACT is a Bristol-based record label interested in the realm of underground electronic music, unrestricted by genre. The first release comes from local producer Zobol, with a 5 track EP, Foreign Objects, consisting of deep, melodic electro with a dark edge.

Foreign Objects is the debut 12” from British artist Jon Chmielewski under the alias Zobol. The EP title alludes to a near death experience that resulted in Chmielewski being admitted into a Panamanian hospital with sepsis due to two shards of metal (from a dental drill) being accidentally sewn into his jaw after a traumatic wisdom tooth removal. The record artwork depicts a CT scan revealing the ‘foreign objects’ in his cranium.
